August, 2018
Dear Fellow Believer in Christ:
Greetings in the name of our Lord!
We pray that you are in good health and that God is with you daily!

"FAITH TO CARRY YOU THROUGH YOUR NEXT JOURNEY"

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path

My daughter and I are on a journey. You may recall that Brenda and I planned to come back to Minnesota with Bonnie Lou's ashes to lay her to rest in Wells, Minnesota, where Bonnie Lou and I both grew up.

Brenda and I have been traveling from state to state visiting family and friends since the beginning of July. The Lord has given me the opportunity to minister in different places on the mainland and at my age it is not an easy journey. I have determined to not only take my opportunity to preach as long as the Lord gives me breath, but also to enjoy my time with old friends and family. What a journey it has been!

Our journey began with a trip from Hawaii to Seattle. We were able to spend some time visiting Brenda's two sons, Caleb and Dennis and enjoyed several days with them. From Seattle, we traveled to Minnesota to stay with my brother Dan and his wife Marianne.

I had been having some dental problems before we left Hawaii. In Seattle, I was in a lot of pain from another toothache! I ended up needing some emergency work and a root canal. Fortunately, it was a miracle that I was able to see a dentist and oral surgeon in Minnesota so I could continue my journey without so much pain. I felt so much better, that Dan, Marianne, Brenda and I drove down to Pine Island to see my other brother Dale and Shirley for dinner.

July 15 was the day of Bonnie Lou's service. I am so grateful for the hospitality of Pastor Brynn Harms and the congregation of The Wells Assembly of God in Minnesota. The service was so beautiful and they had a wonderful reception for us after the service. The graveside service went so well and was attended by several family members and friends. Bonnie Lou would have been pleased. The time spent with our loved ones was such a blessing to Brenda and me!

As a bonus during our trip,  we visited dear old friends in Monticello and Minneapolis along the way.  We were able to reminisce about our times of ministry with them.

Before returning to Hawaii, I have preached for my brother Dan in Pine Island Assembly and also preached at the Assembly of God in Mississippi where my brother Floyd and his daughter, Teresa, attend.  I am believing that the Holy Spirit has touched people through my sermons.

I have had such a beautiful time sharing my testimony of how I gave my life to Jesus in a vision when I was suffering from the polio outbreak that struck the Wells area when I was a child.  I spoke about how Jesus called Bonnie Lou and I to go Hawaii, even though we had never even been to the Islands. God has blessed our ministry in Hawaii that has spanned over 50 years and it has been a good and sometimes hard journey.

It has been so wonderful to see and know that our Lord has guided us all along our journey. I believe in divine appointments and I have shared the gospel to all I encounter. The Lord has placed people next to me on every flight that we were on and I am trusting that He has touched them through our conversation.

Lord help me to trust you even more!
