October, 2018 NEWSLETTER

October, 2018
Dear Fellow Believer in Christ:
Greetings in the name of our Lord!
We pray that you are in good health and that God is with you daily!

Isaiah 33:2 Lord, be gracious  to us; we long for you. Be our strength  every morning, our salvation in time of distress.

Do Not Be Anxious
Mat 6:25  Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Mat 6:26  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Mat 6:27  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
Mat 6:28  And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Mat 6:29  And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Mat 6:30  Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall henot much moreclotheyou, O ye of little faith?
Mat 6:31  Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Mat 6:32  (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Mat 6:33  But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Mat 6:34  Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

I was just reading a letter from one of my Ohana (family) son's Pastor Harold Kilborn who pastors Koloa Assembly of God church on the Island of Kauai, and he shared these scriptures. Oh, how I needed these scriptures from Matthew 6:25 - 34.

Since my return home to Hawaii after weeks traveling across the mainland, I have been struggling with pain, depression and was having trouble breathing.  I am a mature Christian, former pastor, Evangelist, and yet, I have been going through a time of trial and testing. Are you surprised that a Pastor struggles just like everyone else? Even after going through ER, I felt like I could not breathe and was dying. I cried out to Jesus for comfort. The Lord heard my pleas and I finally received help from a doctor with medicine, water pills etc. and I can breathe again!

I have gone through the book of Psalms, Jeremiah. and read most of Matthew to fill my mind and heart with the Word of God and what a help this has been to me.  God showed me that He was always with me and that I needed to seek His help. I don't know what tomorrow holds, but I know tomorrow is in His hands and He is in the tomorrow. I now have such peace in Jesus that if I go home to be with Jesus, that it will be wonderful.

Because I live, I still have a ministry for Him. Praise the Lord. I am so glad that I made Jesus my Lord and Saviour. I did this when Jesus came into my hospital room in Minneapolis and I received Jesus as my personal Saviour. You can know Him as your Saviour, so invite Him into your heart as YOUR personal Saviour.

Why do we go through these hard trials?  Some are so unbearable and yet He promises that He will always be with you, no matter what.  There must be someone reading this that needs to hear this message. Jesus is reaching out to you.  Trust Him and receive Him into your heart and you will never be alone.

Deuteronomy 31:6 New International Version (NIV)
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you."
