“Merry Christmas”
In Hawaiian this is
Mele Kalikimaka.
Luke 2:14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
It is hard to believe that we have lived and been in Hawaii for the past 51 plus years. It is not as good that Bonnie Lou is not with me but she is enjoying her Christmas in Heaven and I will with my Lord’s help enjoy my Mele Kalikimaka hear in Hawaaii for we will spend it, with my Children, and Grandchildren plus Lily my almost 10 year old Great, Great, Grandchild.
Can you imagen how wonderful it was for the Shepherds out in the fields how wonderful it was not only to see but hear the heavenly Host of Angles singing the praising our God in the heavens above them.
Every year I was able to have such a large Choir along with our Christmas play that our church and youth would present a Drama. I well attended and everyone love the programs.
I so love the words to the song Mele Kalikimaka
Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Hawaiian Christmas day
That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway
Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright
The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way to say Merry Christmas to you

Also at Christmas time our people will have a great Christmas Dinner and before we added our great Fellowship Hall unto our church our Military people would borrow tables from the Army base and chairs and we would take all the benches out of the auditorium and place the tables to feed over 300 to celebrate our Lord Jesus Birth. What a happy and Joyous time we had It has been several years since I was their pastor but I still love to Celebrate Christmas with them.
Because Christmas is a giving time of gifts to our family and friends, why don’t we plan to give a large gift to Jesus by giving extra to your church, Pastor, homeless, to give in honor to our Savior’s birth.
"Joy to the World, the Lord is Come"
by Isaac Watts, 1674-1748
1. Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room
And heaven and nature sing.
2. Joy to the earth, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ,
While fields and floods, rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy.
3. No more let sins and sorrows grow
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found.
4. He rules the world with truth and grace
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness
And wonders of His love.
It is so wonderful that we can say “Merry Christmas” again to all our friends and loved one and not be afraid that we will offend someone. This is out time to shout it out like the Angles did to the Shepherds when Jesus was to be born. Jesus is coming soon to take us to His home for this our hope. Jesus is our Saviour and all we have to do is believe in Him and receive Him into our heart. Tell the whole World that He is alive and wants to be their Saviour. Right now I feel so much of His love that it wants to explode within me all over you.
I appreciate you that have given to our ministry. Over the many years we have given around one hundred thousand to help feed the hunger, give to churches for the building programs, after hurricanes and tornado disasters etc. I am still doing this from our Bill Ashpole Ministries fund but to continue doing this, I need your continued support.
