“We Are a Vessel for the Lord” 1 Corinthians 6:19  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?  1 Corinthians 6:20  For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. When you give your heart to Jesus, the Holy Spirit also is happy to make his home in you and live in your heart and lives, His new home. Through Jesus our bodies become a temple, a dwelling place for them to live all the time with us. Let me tell you my story again. I had wonderful Christian parents but even though I went to church, I was not living for Jesus. I was doing my own thing. My so called friends convinced me to do the wrong that they were doing and when I was 15 years of age, the Sheriff sent them to prison. I remember the Sheriff taking me and my dad down to his office and he asked me to go to the next room while he talked to my dad. I could hear them talking and heard the Sheriff say “I should send your son to prison but since you are a Deacon in this little church, I have decided to place your son under your care and maybe some good will come of your boy.” Not long after that, I came down with Polio and went into the Kenny hospital. There, Jesus came to my room one night and I gave my heart and life to him- He has been with me ever since. Now, looking back some 73 or more years, I have finished high school, received a BA Degree from North Central College in Minneapolis, went to  Arkansas State College, pastored in Arkansas, Minnesota and Hawaii. Was Christian Education Director for over 8 years, Hawaii Assemblies of God Assistant Superintendent for 24 years and now an Honorary District and General Presbyter for life. I am so glad I asked Jesus to be my Saviour. I have had a wonderful journey with Bonnie Lou, traveling and ministering in so many of the Islands of the South Pacific, Caribbean, Japan, Philippians and England. What a wonderful plan our Lord had for us. When you give Jesus control of your heart and life, He has a wonderful plan also for you. John 3:16-17 tells what will happen in your life. John 3:16-17  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Let us all surrender our lives to Jesus so we can share our story with others. I am almost 90 years old and still want to do more for our Saviour Jesus Christ.
