Aloha in the Wonderful Name of Jesus!

 

In our recent Christmas letter, we left out three of the beloved people in our lives. Bonnie Lou’s two sisters, Phyllis and Carmen Mundale from Minnesota, and Dorothy Dutra from the Island of Kauai, where we spent 11 years of our ministry in Hawaii.

 

Let us start with Dorothy, because when Bonnie Lou arrived in Mayo Clinic with a heart attack, Dorothy was already in Rochester, Minnesota being a nurse to her spiritual Ohana Mother, Jessie Samfong, also from Kauai, who was there recovering from surgery. Would you believe that when Bonnie Lou arrived at Mayo Clinic, Dorothy was with her before and after Bonnie Lou’s open heart surgery and most of the time throughout  the ten days that Bonnie Lou was in the hospital being a wonderful nurse to her.

 

When we arrived on the Mundale farm in Alden, Minnesota, Phyllis and Carmen came often to help. Carmen blessed us by taking over the kitchen duties. God is so good to have given us such a wonderful Ohana (family).
